This oil mixed media painting started out with two small pieces of collage papers that I had kept for several years and decided to incorporate in this painting. One piece showing a red headed crane in flight and the other a picture of an old temple. Thus leaning towards an oriental Japanese theme. I decided to add a woman dressed in her finery next to a vase of cherry blossoms. Gold swirls and a flowing trail of greens and blues makeup the background. Plus the Japanese word for “DREAMS”. All the time I painted this beautiful woman, I wondered what it would be like to not be able to express your thoughts, feelings and dreams. How many women around the world are in this position? Thus the name “HIDDEN - Thoughts, Feelings, Dreams”
Painting created on cotton gallery wrapped canvas size (inches) 22” wide x 28“ tall x 1 1/2” depth. It is sold in a dark gold floater frame making it 23 1/4 x 29 1/4 x 2 depth.
