IN BLOOM TOGETHER is the perfect name for this painting. Why you ask? Because I had know conceived idea what this painting would become. I wanted it to be a surprise! I decided to just make a background starting with acrylic inks. I then sprinkled some alcohol while still was wet which created the small daisies. To make it all fade to the back I put a pale wash of blue and pink. I turned the painting all four ways trying to decide what the painting wanted to be. My daughter and granddaughter stopped by and my granddaughter told me it was definitely a floral because 3/4 of a green vase had formed with flowers at the base and trailing upward in yellow and pinks. My daughter said it needed to include gold. Soooo, painting was born as “IN BLOOM TOGETHER”. Please enjoy all the beautiful pinks, reddish pinks, yellow and purple flowers, birds and surprise (frog) and drips of gold. What a joy to paint! KAY
Painting created on gallery wrapped cotton canvas 30 wide x 40 tall x 3/4 depth (inches) sold framed in a slight distressed 3/4 inch floater frame. It is mixed medium 20% acrylic inks and 80% oil with a light gloss varnish.
